JOB DESCRIPTION:
A Landfill Laborer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, materials recycling facility (MRF) or landfill. Responsibilities may include such things as picking up papers, which is outside work, rain or shine, manually picks up windblown paper from periphery of landfill. Carries a large plastic trash bag and walks along the fenced border of the landfill, as well as on exterior land adjacent to the public property. Pulls paper from the fence and lifts loose paper from the ground, depositing refuse in bag until full. Yard clean-up, general vehicle operation, general office maintenance and other related duties.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely and efficiently perform assigned responsibilities to include such duties as:
- Clean-up work areas;
- Perform yard work, including paper pick-up;
- Operate general site vehicles and equipment;
- Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work;
- Install temporary wind fences, as required;
- Direct traffic at the site as necessary; and
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
